Today,I went to Cziplee Bookshop in Bangsar,KL to get a copy of black Helvetica moleskine and blue coloured volant.Now is my third year in using moleskine notebooks and I still love them even though they are 3 times more expensive than the locally produced notebooks.I use the local notebooks for everyday things and I use moleskine notebook for some special projects .Honestly,I donot need Helvetica notebook but it is for my personal collection.
Previously I use my moleskine mainly to write my personal journal. About two months ago, I saw a lady was doing a mindmap while waiting for her turn to pay her telecom bill.I can't help giving a few glances because she was using a moleskine note book;-)
Nowadays,I am using mindmap methodology to take notes of my business meeting,taking notes while listening to lectures and many other things in my business as a consultant in project management.
Note: I am using the squared paper because I don't have bigger plain moleskine in KL.

It is not easy to find a quiet place in a fast moving world of today, but I could be alone in a crowd when I started writing some notes in my personal journal. Once I am deep in my own thoughts, I can be alone in my own way...
By writing in a notebook, it gives me time to reflect on my life. Many a time, we are too busy to give some time for ourselves.

I love to sit and drink my latte in a cafe within a bookshop. After I got my drink, I will find a table with a good view of the bookshop and then take out my moleskine notebook/cahier to write my daily notes or help me with my thinking..
The pen and paper are better tools than my PDA to extract ideas out from my mind and it is very easy list down the main point and to link them by diagrams.

I use Treo650 and moleskine notebook everyday. Each has its own strenghts and weaknesses.I prefer Treo650 to plan my schedule and its has an alert/reminder system.It also has many good database and other pda apps. At the same time, it is a good communicating device (text,phone,web).The paper notebook is a very convenient 'device' for me to write and draw my thoughts,feelings and notes of what I feel,what I think and what I hear and what Isee.Pen and paper are still the best when it comes to writing notes.
I write and draw in my moleskine,but I listen and watch sounds and sights on my iPod.The best combination of analog and digital device I have...
