Engineering failure?
The photo shows a failed embankment protection at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa.It is very unsightly and it reminds me of my engineer friends at DBKL.Nothing was seen done to rehabilitate the bank of the lake.
IMHO, this is not an engineering failure but more of the result of the neglect by those responsible for facilities management.

What if I say, it is more of 'responsibility failure' rather than 'engineering failure'. I believe, the failure to maintain would cost more to repair. Or, as I used to say to one of my contractor friends more than a decade ago when he complained about a shoddy roadwork; 'think positive, it could mean, next tender is out soon, and it could be your turn!
